Amser Justin Time will be supporting a campaign organised by Steve Western to raise money for a 4 year child called Harri and the Welsh children's charity LATCH.
Harri was diagnosed with a rhabdomyosarcoma tumour. This is an extremely rare and aggressive cancer that only affects a small number of children in the UK each year. Harri now faces gruelling treatment to fight this cancer including chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy.
We are looking for 15 AJT supporters to complete 10 ascents of Pen y Fan in 24hrs starting at 6pm on Saturday 16th May and ending at 6pm Sunday 17th May.
We require each of the 15 AJT entrants to raise £100 - £200 and we will be splitting all monies raised between LATCH and AJT. Be under no illusion, this is a serious challenge, 4460m total ascent and approximately 38 miles in total.
If you feel ten ascents are too much for you but would still like to take part, all AJT supporters and families are welcome to join the challenge and raise money for LATCH and AJT by means of sponsorship per ascent. This involves people sponsoring you maybe £2 for every time you get to the top of Pen y Fan and back down within the 24hrs.
There are going to be 4 categories so everyone can get involved:
1) The Ten y Fan individual attempting all ten climbs in 24hrs
2) A solo attempt to climb Pen y Fan as many times as possible in 24hrs (This is for the person who thinks 10 climbs are slightly beyond ones self but would like to attempt several climbs within the 24hrs)
3) A duo team of 2 who alternate climbs, completing 5 climbs each within the 24hrs
4) A team of 5 who alternate climbs completing 2 climbs each within the 24hrs
Please would you confirm if you would like to get involved. There are just seven weeks to go and we want as many AJT supporters there with Shan as possible.
We ask that all you do is raise £200 each per individual. The above category options mean you can walk it with your families, children, dogs, aunties, uncles and grandparents so please join us on May 16th, 6pm to May 17th, 6pm, even if it's just to lend a hand or a voice of support!
