Shan held a house party to get her into the 'zone' ready for her Ascot
debut!
Shan has been specially invited to take part in a charity flat race organised by 'Women in Racing'
A great night was had by all - many appearing in their own Jockey outfits and Ascot hats.
There was even a pantomime horse loose in the street.
The evening (and very early hours of the morning) event raised £ 3,790
Shân wins 4th place at Ascot
Top Welsh opera singer, Shân Cothi, added to horseracing history at Ascot on Wednesday (27th April 2011), when she competed in the first ever charity race at the Berkshire course. After an excellent day’s racing including the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes, the 5.30pm race featured a group of Lady riders, most of whom had little experience of riding racehorses!
