A wonderful evening of carol singing at Neuadd Brofana, Ffarmers reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas. Readings by members of all ages from the local chapels and churches contributed to the evening and everyone joined in the carol singing with joy.
Cor Meibion Caron under the baton of conductor Catherine Hughes were on form and provided a welcome break with their quality singing and entertained the congregation by performing a lovely mix of traditional Welsh carols and Christmas songs, accompanied by Alice Jones. Tea, mulled wine and mince pies followed and everyone had a great catch up. It was great to see so many familiar faces and old friends.
The evenings proceeds were being donated to Amser Justin Time and this year's carol service was in memory of Eurig Jones, Erwau, Ffarmers, who sadly died of pancreatic cancer at the end of the summer. His widow Wendy Jones was present at the service and it was lovely to see her.
Shan Cothi was presented on the night with a cheque for £625.00 from funeral donations in memory of Eurig Jones.
Thank you Wendy and family for supporting Amser Justin Time. xx
